shout out if you need a hand with anything - there's some old (very old) hands around on the forum and we might have some sage words...... or talk a pile of crap, you decide

Wow, that's one of those questions I'm not a fan of...

The truth is, it varies hugely depending upon the person.

You can get by on very little, if you know what you're doing and bring most of your food & drink with you.
If you're buying three meals a day and all your drinks then it can get pricey.
Saying that the food & drink are cheaper than a lot of festivals, so if you've been to a Leeds or Reading or TitP, then I would expect it to be cheaper, even with the extra day.
Bargains are there to be had, and if struggling there are people like the hare krishnas that feed the needy.

If you can afford it, i.e. you don't have to stringently budget, there are cash machines on-site if you run out of cash, though the queues can be epic.

i took £500 last yr and had a strictly 'no scrimping' policy but, as every one knows, i have cash but no life!  you can get by on £10-20 a day if u take your own food, beer, cooking equip etc all you really need is the odd drink if you run out while away from your stash and the odd ice-cream when the sunshines.

second that emotion re cash machines - how much time do you want to waste when you're at the greatest festival ever..... ?

The cash points wern't too bad last year. I had to use them as I never got paid until the Thursday, so I went up on Thursday morning quite early, waited about 40 minutes and took out 200 quid which lasted me the weekend and I came home with about 40 quid in my pocket.

I've never spent more than 250 quid at Glastonbury, ok, in the early 90's I survived on about 50 quid, but times were far different in't olden times.
