No.After last year Eavis has made it clear that it's only for locals and no details will be announced to avoid people coming from everywhere to flood Pilton.

Well, I think it's safe to assume I won't get an invite,.....
And I doubt I'd make the journey?!

As a Glastonbury town resident who has missed it on all previous years and only heard about it AFTER it has taken place, I would still like to know the date of it this year. I have to work at the festival itself and never get to see any bands or anything, so I'd really like to go!

If you are like you say you are a "Glastonbury Local", then it is pretty hard not to know when it is on. Its always advertised in the Western Gazette and other local papers. There are also loads of signs around Shepton and the surrounding area.
As for "Having" to work at the main festival, that is complete BS, nobody is forced to work at the festival, it is all done on a volenteer basis. Even if you did work there, you are given time off to go see bands. Usually if you work you do 3 5 hr shifts that are staggared over the weekend.
I have been going to the party since the Stone Roses played ages ago, if you want to go it is hard not to miss it, that is if you are a true local.
Tipping Hard fi to play this year as for the headliners???

I recent "YeahYou?"'s implication that I am not a Glastonbury resident. Unless he can prove otherwise, (and quite frankly, I have better things to do with my time than to dream up ways that I could prove it with out posting my address and phone number on a public site!), then he should just accept it as fact.
Therefore in my defence:
Firstly
I don't buy the Western Gazette, and have never seen it advertised in the free local paper (The Fosse Way) even though the Glastonbury Extravaganza is (which takes place on my door step and scares the hell out of my cats). Also, being a GLASTONBURY town resident, I never actually travel to Shepton Mallet (I'd rather go to Wells), so I don't see any signs, if there are any.
Secondly
Perhaps "YeahYou?" would like to get his facts straight before he starts accusing me of speaking BS and as he doesn't know me (if he did, he would know where I live!), he certainly doesn't have the facts. I do HAVE to work at the festival as I have to help my husband out who runs a stall and there is certainly no extra staff around for us to work out some sort of shift system. I am NOT a volunteer (are there really people out there who think that the whole festival is organised and run by volunteers?!), the festival is a way for us (and many others) to try and make a living (and it gets harder and harder ever year with more and more stalls, and higher and higher pitch prices) and hence I do HAVE to work.

The wonderful Jo Whiley has apparently been spreading the word about "this great little secret" on her Radio One show.
Thanks for putting the festival in risk Jo, well done.
